MODEL WORKSHOP

Here are some images I have produced for a model workshop we had yesterday.
We were asked to produce a model of paper representing the concepts of depth and texture, then we had to take photographs of the model and manipulate them to create a collage of images. Each shot needed to be put into a context and into a specific scale.

From my first sketches I realized that the model reminded me of a catamaran with strange-looking sails, therefore I thought that it could work as an installation on a coastal site or along a river with maritime activities next to it.





The boat itself is meant to be made of corteen steel, whereas the sails could be made of fabric or white plastic. The installation could be placed next to a platform or a jetty where people can get access to it.
